Blessed Alexandrina da Costa

She was at the same time hostage, victim, priest and the selected spouse to be transformed by suffering willingly embraced, in union with the God-Man. She was a tangible realization of the cry ‘Penance! Penance! Penance!’ from the angel with the flaming sword whom the children saw in the July apparition in the Cova da Iria. She too was on fire with the Light which is God, yet which does not burn… the God they could never put into words, they could never express, yet if only people knew…
